- OMG, here we go again. It didn't seen all that long ago that there was another story about a bunch of random shootings in Chicago. The problem doesn't have one solution, but would require many different issues to be addressed. Yes, some sort of gun control would be one of them.

- God, I hate hearing stories like this. Obviously, I feel for those poor kids, who are put in an awful position. But, I also hate that this is what these kids carry back to their homes and countries. As if the world needed another excuse to hate Americans.

- Sounds like a tragic day in that little part of Washington State. May that little girl recover and may the slain sheriff RIP and his family find some kind of comfort. It does seem strange for 2 shootings to have occurred so close together. Not saying they're related - but very strange.

- WTF is wrong with people! Even if they didn't know what they were doing could kill that poor little thing, it was still cruel and unusal punishment. We wouldn't treat criminals like that for offenses a lot worse than lying about eating a candy bar.
